SUMMARY
=======

The error message "Not a valid file" can appear when loading Word
because the program looks for the files MW.INI, NORMAL.STY, and
NORMAL.GLY when it is started. If one of these files is corrupted or
damaged to the point that Word cannot recognize it, the error message
will appear.

To correct this problem, rename each of these files, one at a time,
with the DOS RENAME command. Attempt to start Word after each rename
until the program loads successfully. The last file renamed is the
cause of the message; it should be deleted.

If the error message occurs while running Word on two floppy drives,
it is probably due to changing disks in Drive B before Word has
finished accessing a file on the first disk. Do a Transfer Clear All
and then change disks to avoid this situation.
