Take Off for the Wild Blue Yonder with Runway USA
Second Volume in the Flight Simulator Co-Pilot Series

"Much more than the dull, step-by-step procedure manuals... RUNWAY USA
offers a sense of adventure."
Bruce Artwick, Creator of Flight Simulator
From the Foreword to RUNWAY USA

Published in November 1986, Charles Gulick's FLIGHT SIMULATOR CO-PILOT
became an instant bestseller. This March, Microsoft Press will release the
second action-packed volume in the Flight Simulator Co-Pilot series, RUNWAY
USA. Designed for the intermediate-to-experienced Flight Simulator pilot,
RUNWAY USA is a collection of flying adventures using Microsoft Flight
Simulator or SubLOGIC Flight Simulator II and the western set of SubLOGIC's
Scenery Disks. For a group of special chapters, the SubLOGIC San Francisco
STAR Scenery Disk is used.
For each excursion, Charles Gulick provides detailed setting information,
instructions, advice, cautions, and historical notes. The flights include:
   * negotiating tricky winds over San Angelo, Texas
   * flying above the hazardous Sangre de Cristo mountain range in New Mexico
   * skimming the Louisiana Bayou
   * soaring over snow-blanketed Northern California
   * exploring the beauty of the Bay Area with the San Francisco Scenery Disk,
     and much more!
Along the way, Gulick teaches Flight Simulator enthusiasts some exciting
maneuvers such as power-on and power-off stalls, inside loops, steep climbs,
Immelman turns, and even a tailspin.
Flight Simulator pilots who want to brush up on their flying skills can
refer to appendixes containing a flight instruction summary and aircraft
control diagrams for each computer. A thorough glossary of flying terms is
also included.
