SYMPTOMS
========

When you attempt to add or remove a Windows 2000 component using the Add/Remove
Programs tool in Control Panel, the Windows Setup tab is missing.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior occurs because unlike Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 does
not provide the ability to add or remove individual components after Windows
2000 is installed. Instead, all necessary components are installed during
Windows 2000 Setup.

RESOLUTION
==========

To add optional components to the Add/Remove Programs tool, see the following
article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

   Q223182 Adding Optional Components to Add/Remove Programs Tool

STATUS
======

This behavior is by design.
