SYMPTOMS
========

When you type a stock symbol to search for a security, you may find a different
security than the one you want to include in your portfolio.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if more than one company uses the same letters for their
stock symbols and the only difference between the symbols is in the case of the
letters.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, type the exact case of the letters for the stock symbol
you want to find.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in MSN Investor.

If one company uses the stock symbol XYZP and another company uses the stock
symbol XYZp, the company you find when you type a stock symbol in MoneyCentral
depends on the exact case of the letters you use when you type the symbol.

The following table shows which company you find when you type a stock symbol
using different combinations of upper and lower case letters.

   Search Text   Search Results
   ----------------------------

   xyzp          XYZp
   XYZp          XYZp
   xyzP          XYZp
   XYZP          XYZP

If you type lower case letters only or a combination of upper and lower case
letters, MSN Investor searches first for stock symbols that use a combination of
upper and lower case letters, and then for stock symbols that use upper case
letters only.

If you type upper case letters only, MSN Investor searches for stock symbols that
use upper case letters only.
