NOTES
-----

1. Enter all ISP, mail server, and outgoing mail server names in
lowercase. Many ISP servers run on UNIX, which require lowercase
   entries.

2. There are cases where the mail server names can vary from those stated
in this article, depending on the location of the user or other
conditions. Double check with the ISP or the documentation that you
received from the ISP regarding their correct mail server name.

3. If you feel the mail server names are correct but are still getting
errors connecting to the mail server, use the server name listed in this
article to PING the server for the actual mail server IP address. From a
MS-DOS prompt, type the following command line:

ping <servername listed in this article>

      Example: ping mail.aros.net
