SUMMARY
=======

The archiving process is designed to delete the records you no longer
want to view on a daily basis from your active file. However, when you
archive your records, your investment transactions and price history
information are not removed from your active Money data file.

NOTE: The archiving process also copies the investment transactions and
price history information to the archived file.

STATUS
======

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Archiving does not delete any records concerning investment transactions
or price history information from your money data file. This is because the
price history for a given investment is generally considered to be a key
element of portfolio management. Maintaining investment transactions and
price history in your active Money file enables you to make more informed
investment decisions, which is what the investment area was designed for.

WARNING: Deleting investment transactions may lead to inaccurate reporting
of account balances in your investment accounts.

Deleting this information from your active file would require you to gain
access to your archived file each and every time you wanted to survey your
personal investment history.

To open an archived file to review old transactions, follow these steps:

1. On the File menu, click Open.

2. Type the full path to the archive file.

3. Click OK.
