Known Issues
1. Installation
2. Animation-Browser Playback
3. Animation Authoring

================================
1. INSTALLATION
================================

 - When installing LM from behind a corporate firewall that blocks files
   with unregistered mime-types, the IFTW client will not be able to be
   installed and the button to launch the installation will not be
   loaded.

   To fix this problem, contact your network administrator to register
   these mime-types:

      wis    application/x-InstallShield
      rrf    application/x-InstallFromTheWeb

 - When installing LM on a machine with NT4.0, ServicePack3 (SP3) is
   required. You will need to install SP3 prior to running the Liquid
   Motion setup.

================================
2. ANIMATION-BROWSER PLAYBACK
================================

NETSCAPE BROWSER PLAYBACK

 - Certain features like rotation of images and text, 3D objects and
   scene transitions are not supported for playback under Netscape. See
   the User Guide in Help file that comes with the installed product for
   more details.

IE3.02 BROWSER PLAYBACK

 - When browsing animations on a local drive (e.g., not over http), some
   images may not load correctly. Work-around is to put the animation on
   a Web server and view the files via http://... instead.

IE4.0/4.01 BROWSER PLAYBACK

 - Images created in some graphic applications may contain invalid
   size information. When used in LM animations, this error may
   cause LM to stop loading the animation file.

================================
3. ANIMATION AUTHORING
================================

FRONTPAGE INTEGRATION

 - Copying an animation from one HTML page to another within the
   FrontPage Editor can result in the animation not running or previewing
   incorrectly. This happens when the second page is not in the same
   directory as the original. The work-around is to make sure that the
   HTML page and animation files are always in the same directory.

 - Copying an animation and pasting it into the same HTML page in
   FrontPage causes a script error when previewing the HTML page. To
   work-around this, republish a copy of the animation under a different
   name and copy it to the page.

AUDIO

 - In NT 4.0, audio will not play in the browser if an animation using
   audio is also open in LM. Close LM or the browser to allow the other
   to play the audio.

3-D SHAPES

 - 3-D .x files contain information that will either allow or dis-allow
   the ability to add texture. LM cannot apply textures to .X files
   that do not have texturing capability turned on or have pre-defined
   coloring or textures already applied to them.

IMAGES

 - You may occasionally experience problems if inserting an image whose
   original source is not on your local machine (e.g., remote http
   address, or on a network volume that's not mapped to a driver letter
   on your machine). Simply copy the image to your machine, then insert
   it. (This problem is more likely with JPGs than GIFs.)

 - Inserting an image that is larger than 2000 pixels in either width or
   height will cause LM to fail under Windows NT4.0. Break up the image
   into smaller pieces before inserting it to work around this problem.

PUBLISHING ANIMATIONS

 - LM may not be able to Publish via FTP to some servers or through some
   firewalls. A work-around is to first publish to a local disk, then use
   another FTP program to upload the "published folder" to your
   Web-server.
