The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Liquid Motion for Windows 1.0
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

When you use a Liquid Motion animation, you may experience either of the
following symptoms:

 - When you publish your animation to an open page in a FrontPage Web, the files
   publish to the Web but the animation does not appear on the page.

   -or-

 - When previewing a page containing a Liquid Motion animation in a Web browser,
   you see the following message:

   An Error has occurred in the script on this page.

   Line: 1
   Char: 1
   Error: Syntax error
   Code: 0

NOTE: These behaviors occur only after running the Liquid Motion WebBot by
double-clicking it, moving the page in your Web, or publishing your Web.

CAUSE
=====

Liquid Motion animations do not function correctly in the shared borders section
of the page. The shared borders section of your page is actually stored in a
separate HyperText Markup Language (HTML) file in the _borders folder of your
Web. Because this folder is hidden by default, your HTML files are stored in
different folders. The Liquid Motion animation is written to the shared border
files and the animation uses relative references to the animation media. Because
your HTML files and the shared border files are in different locations, the
animation cannot find the media, and the animation does not run.

RESOLUTION
==========

To work around this behavior, publish your animation to the main body of your
Web pages, not the shared borders section.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at
the beginning of this article.
