SYMPTOMS
========

When you preview your animation in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, your
AutoEffects play at the wrong time. If you specified a Start Hold setting for
the AutoEffect, one part of the AutoEffect plays during the Start Hold.

NOTE: This behavior applies to Bubbles, Twirlers, and Sparkles.

One Sparkle, Bubble, or Twirler shoes up for the duration of the hold and then
the AutoEffect starts.

RESOLUTION
==========

To work around this behavior, use a Timing Offset instead of a Start Hold
setting. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Select the AutoEffect.

2. On Edit menu, click Properties.

3. Click the Timing tab.

4. In the "Offset +/- Settings" box, type "5.0"(without the quotation marks).

5. Click the TimeEffects tab.

6. In the Hold box, in the Start section, enter "0.0" (without the quotation
   marks).

7. On the File menu, click Save.

STATUS
