SYMPTOMS
========

When you specify a color or image for the surface of a three-dimensional (3-D)
shape, the color or image is not applied to the shape. This behavior occurs with
many of the 3-D clip art images included with Liquid Motion.

CAUSE
=====

The DirectX shape, which has a .x file extension, has invalid color and texture
data. DirectAnimation cannot apply color or texture to the shape.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at
the beginning of this article.
