SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you start Automap Road Atlas for Macintosh, you may receive the
following error message:
 
   The application "Automap" has unexpectedly quit because an error of
   type 1 occurred. You should save your work in other open applications
   and restart the computer.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:
 
 - You are running Mac OS version 7.5.1 or later.
 
 - The Date & Time Control Panel is disabled.
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
 
1. On the Apple menu, point to Control Panels, and then click Extensions
   Manager.
 
2. In Extensions Manager, scroll down the list of Extensions and Control
   Panels until you locate the Date & Time entry.
 
3. Click the Date & Time entry to place a check mark beside it.
 
4. Close Extensions Manager.
 
5. On the Special menu, click Restart.
