SUMMARY
=======

This article offers tips for making objects invisible to various renderers.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Use these guidelines for scenes with Motion Capture as well as scenes that
use expressions with control objects.

 - If you want to use control objects or handles to animate a character,
   use primitive cubes rather than nulls (nulls are not as easy to select).

 - To make your object invisible to renderers, but fully interactive in
   Wireframe, assign a "Shadow Object" material (Click Matter, Material,
   then Shadow Object).

This is an easy alternative to the mental ray option (Click Info, mental
ray, then deactivate Primary, Secondary, and Shadows).
