This article offers a method for making multiple background images.
 
MORE INFORMATION
================
 
1. On the Tools module, click Composite.
 
2. Add only one layer, and clear (uncheck) the sequence box.
 
3. To set the Composite for a sequence of images, provide a start frame, an
   end frame, and a step value.
 
4. Click OK.
 
Your single image is now copied to a series of images that are numbered
correctly. You can use them with another compositer such as a background
image in SOFTIMAGE|Particle.
