SYMPTOMS
========

The Bill Reminder in Microsoft Money does not recognize a debt has been
paid off and will continue to post payment reminders on the Money Home
screen.

CAUSE
=====

In the Debt Reduction Planner, you may allocate additional money from any
account (such as funds from a checking or savings account) on top of
scheduled payments, in order to reduce or eliminate debt according to a
self-designed schedule.

However, once you have paid off the debt, the Bill Reminder does not
automatically recognize that the debt has been eliminated. Although Money
no longer allocates funds to the respective account, it continues to post
reminders of overdue bills on the Money Home screen until you manually
delete the payment event from the Debt Reduction Planner.

WORKAROUND
==========

To remove the payment from the Debt Reduction Planner, follow these steps:

1. Click Planner on the navigation bar.

2. Start the Debt Reduction Planner by clicking Get Out Of Debt (in Money
   98) or clicking Debt Reduction Planner (in Money 99).

3. Click the Next button under the navigation bar.

4. Using your right mouse button, right-click the debt then click Move Out
   Of Plan on the shortcut menu.

The account is eliminated from the planner.
