MORE INFORMATION
================

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that
may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot
guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry
Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys
And Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and
Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics
in Regedt32.exe. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit
it.

The registry key "TimedDialogTimeout" does not exist in the registry. The
value used by Outlook is hard-coded, but can be over-written by creating a
new registry key with the new timeout value.

Create the New Registry Key and DWord Value
-------------------------------------------

1. Click the Start button, click Run and type regedit and click OK.

2. Navigate to the following Registry Key.

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Office/8.0/Outlook

3. Click Outlook, and right-click in the right panel, point to New,
   and then click DWORD Value.

4. Type TimedDialogTimeout and press ENTER.

5. Click TimedDialogTimeout. In the Base box click Decimal and in
the Value Data box type the timeout value you wish to use, such
as 45. This would represent 45 seconds.

6. Exit the Registry Editor. If Outlook was running, exit and log off then
start Outlook again. The new timeout value will now be in effect.
