files. This article describes how to remove and reinstall ActiveMovie.

Use the appropriate method for your version of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
 
NOTE: Because there are several versions of Windows, the following steps
may be different on your computer. If they are, please consult your product
documentation to complete these steps.
 
Steps for Users with Internet Explorer 3.02a
--------------------------------------------
 
1. Make sure the Money 98 CD-ROM is in your CD-ROM drive, and that no other
   programs are running.
 
2. Rename the following files found in the \Windows\System folder:
 
      Amovie.ocx
      Actmovie.exe
      Quartz.dll
 
   To do this, follow these steps:
 
    a. Click the Start button, point to Find, and then click Files Or
       Folders.
 
    b. In the Named box, type Amovie.ocx.
 
    c. Click Find Now.
 
    d. Using the right mouse button, right-click the Amovie.ocx icon,
       and then click Rename on the shortcut menu.
 
    e. Rename the file to Amovie.old.
 
    f. Repeat steps a-e for Actmovie.exe and Quartz.dll, changing
       each of the file's extensions to .old.
 
3. Click the Start button, point to Programs, and then click MS-DOS Prompt.
 
4. In the MS-DOS Prompt window, type the following and then press ENTER:
 
      cd C:\Windows\Desktop
 
   NOTE: If you did not install Windows to your C drive or if you installed
   Windows to a directory other than Windows, then substitute the drive
   letter and path you used in place of C:\Windows.
 
5. In the MS-DOS Prompt window, type the following command to extract
   amovie.exe, and then press ENTER:
 
      Extract D:\Money98\Money98.1 Amovie.exe
 
   NOTE: If your CD-ROM drive uses a different drive letter, substitute it
   for D.
 
6. Once the extraction is complete, close the MS-DOS Prompt by typing
   "exit" (without the quotation marks), and then press ENTER.
 
7. The Amovie.exe icon should now be visible on the desktop. Double-click
   the Amovie.exe icon to run ActiveMovie Setup.
 
Steps for Users with Internet Explorer 4.0
------------------------------------------
 
1. Rename the following files found in the \Windows\System folder:
 
      Amovie.ocx
      Actmovie.exe
      Quartz.dll
 
   To do this, follow these steps:
 
    a. Click the Start button, point to Find and then click Files Or
       Folders.
 
    b. In the Named box, type Amovie.ocx.
 
    c. Click Find Now.
 
    d. Using the right mouse button, right-click the Amovie.ocx icon, and
       then click Rename on the shortcut menu.
 
    e. Rename the file to Amovie.old.
 
    f. Repeat steps a-e for Actmovie.exe and Quartz.dll changing
       each of the file's extensions to .old.
 
2. Reinstall Internet Explorer 4.0 by double-clicking the Internet Setup
   icon you used to first install Internet Explorer 4.0.
