SYMPTOMS
========
 
In Microsoft Money 98, when you are in the "Take Action & reduce your debt"
screen of the Debt Reduction Planner, and you try to view a forecast, you
may receive the following error message:
 
   The program has performed an illegal operation and will be shutdown.
 
   If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
 
When you click Details, you receive the following error message:
 
   Msmoney caused an invalid page fault in module Msmoney.exe.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
This error message occurs when you haven't entered any data into Debt
Reduction Planner and try going to a Forecast, (click Goal Planner, and
then click Forecast).
 
RESOLUTION
==========
 
Before navigating to the Forecast from the "Take Action & reduce your debt"
screen, follow these steps:
 
1. Click Planner on the navigation bar.
 
2. Click Goal Planner, and then click Debt Reduction Planner.
 
3. Follow steps 1 through 3 of the Debt Reduction Planner.
 
STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
