SYMPTOMS
========

When you run Fighter Ace, you may be unable to use the fire button on your
joystick to fire your guns.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if use a CH joystick, and you attempt to fire while you
hold down the hat switch on one of the following joysticks:

 - CH Flightstick Pro

 - Gravis Phoenix/Firebird

When you press two joystick buttons at the same time on one of these joysticks,
the joystick sends a hat switch signal to the computer. If you press the hat
switch and the fire button at the same time, the joystick sends only the hat
switch signal to the computer.

RESOLUTION
==========

To prevent this issue from occurring, release the hat switch on the joystick
before you press the fire button.
