 - Softimage 3D for IRIX, versions 3.51, 3.7

SUMMARY
=======

If SOFTIMAGE 3D (SI3D) has stopped responding (a state where you cannot do
anything) or appears to be in an infinite loop, you can kill the SI3D
process in such a way that may trigger the Emergency save and save your
work.

To find the SI3D process id, enter the following command:

   ps -ef | grep soft (then look for the SI3D process id)

To kill the process and trigger the emergency save, enter the following
command:

   kill -SEGV < SI3D_process_id>

In order for this process to work, you must have the Emergency saving
option enabled (this is the default).
