SUMMARY
=======

Before you install updated Sentinel Drivers, remove old versions of the
Drivers.

MORE INFORMATION
================

To accomplish the task above, do the following:

1. From Control Panel > Multimedia > Devices, select Other Multimedia
   Devices.

2. Select Sentinel for Alpha systems, and then click Remove.

3. Verify that the Sentinel files have been removed, then reboot. It is a
   common occurrence on DEC Alphas for files to remain after selecting
   "Remove."

   Where %WINDIR% is the directory where you installed Windows NT, the
   Drivers are:

   %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32\sntalpha.dll (or snti386.dll) and
   %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32\Drivers\sentinel.sys

After rebooting, you can install the new version of the Sentinel Drivers by
running the appropriate setup program (setupaxp.exe or setupx86.exe).
