SUMMARY
=======

When converting SOFTIMAGE 3D models that contain textures, complete the
following procedure to ensure that mapping coordinates are not lost after
conversion:

1. Convert the mapping coordinates to UV.

2. From the Matter module, choose Txt_Oper -> Info UV Coord. (2D Local),
   then click OK.

   The texture mapping coordinates are changed to UV, and the initial
   mapping coordinates (in X Z) are retained.

Provided the application with which you are importing the models and
textures supports UV texture mapping, the application will be able to re-
apply the 2D textures while retaining the initial SOFTIMAGE 3D mapping
coordinates.
