SUMMARY
=======

In addition to obtaining setup files from the Branding and Directory Server,
Money 98 can also read a setup file with an MNS extension. This allows financial
institutions and service providers to create and distribute setup files via
e-mail, on disk, or through Web sites.

There are two methods you can use to enter the online setup file information into
Money:

 - Select it in the Investigate Offerings step of Online Services Setup.

 - Open the MNS file then designate the financial institution.

MORE INFORMATION
================

To select the MNS file in the Online Services Setup Wizard, follow these steps:

1. On the Navigation Bar, click Online Banking.

2. In the Account list, click the correct financial institution.

3. On the Getting Started tab, click Investigate Offerings.

4. Click to select "I'll Be Using An Online Services Setup File" and click Next.

5. Type in the path to the MNS file in the "Use A Setup File Received From
<Financial Institution>" box, or use the Browse button to locate the
   file.

6. Click Next, and then click Finish.

You can also open an MNS file by double-clicking it. If you obtain the MNS file
from the Internet, you can save it to your hard drive and then open it later.
Depending upon your Internet browser, you may be able to open it directly. To
import the information into Money, follow these steps when you open the MNS
file:

NOTE: This method does not work when setting up Investment Accounts with a
Brokerage, you will have to use the method outlined ealier.

1. Open the MNS file by double-clicking it, or telling your browser to open it.

2. If Money is not running, you receive the following message:

The information has been received and will be imported the next time
you run Money. Do you want to start Money now?

   Click Yes.

3. Money presents a "Choose A Money Account" dialog box, indicating that you
need to assign an account to this setup file. If you have not set up any
accounts for this financial institution, use the New button to start the New
Account Wizard. Otherwise, select an account from the Money Account Name
list. By choosing an account, you assign this setup information to all
accounts assigned to this financial institution in the Money file.

NOTE: The "Choose A Money Account" dialog box always says that the Type Of
Account is Checking. This is OK, even if you select a Credit Card Account in
   the Money Account Name list.

4. Click Next and proceed to the other Steps on the Getting Started tab.

The Money 98 CD-ROM versions have an MNS folder with MNS files which contain
basic information about financial institutions that had partner relationships
with Money at the time of release. However, to receive current offerings, you
need to obtain the latest MNS file from your financial institution, or connect
to the Branding and Directory Server.
