SUMMARY
=======
 
This article explains how to setup and use SPRYNET as your Internet Service
Provider (ISP) with Money. Money 5.0 allows you to download Internet Quotes
and statement information from financial institutions through the Internet.
Money also allows you to access the MoneyZone and other Internet Web sites
from Money.
 
NOTE: This article presumes that you have an account with SPRYNET and
no other ISP installed on your computer that might interfere with the
installation of SPRYNET. If you have difficulty with any of the steps
outlined in this article, contact SPRYNET for assistance.
 
MORE INFORMATION
================
 
The SPRYNET dialer is currently a 16-bit program and does not support 32-
bit programs. Once you have the Windows 95 Dialer (Dial-Up Networking) up
and running you can use the 32-bit versions of Netscape Navigator,
Microsoft Internet Explorer and any other program with SPRYNET.
 
Setting Up SPRYNET As Your ISP
------------------------------
 
To use SPRYNET as your ISP, follow these steps to set up Internet
Explorer correctly:
 
1. If necessary, create a Dial-Up Networking connection for SPRYNET using
   the "Creating SPRYNET DUN Connection" section detailed below.
 
2. Right-click The Internet on your desktop and then click Properties
   on the shortcut menu.
 
3. On the Connection tab, make sure that the "Connect To The Internet As
   Needed" is selected.
 
4. In "Use The Following Dial-Up Networking Connection" list, select
   the SPRYNET connection.
 
5. Make sure that "Connect Through A Proxy Server" is clear and click OK.
 
To Use SPRYNET as Your ISP with Money
-------------------------------------
 
To use SPRYNET as your ISP with Money, do the following:
 
1. Start Money and click Account Manager.
 
2. In Account Manager, select the account you want to setup for
   Online Services and click Account Details.
 
3. Click Select Online Services. This launches the Online Services Setup
   Wizard.
 
4. When prompted to choose an Internet connection method, select the
   SPRYNET connection in the "Use My Internet Service Provider From
   The List Below" list.
 
5. Complete the Online Services Setup Wizard, enabling all appropriate
   accounts for Online Services.
 
IMPORTANT NOTE: Connect to SPYNET prior to making an Internet connection
within Money.
 
Creating SPRYNET DUN Connection
-------------------------------
 
The following information from SPRYNET on how to configure DUN is provided

Installing Dial-Up Networking (DUN) Components
----------------------------------------------
 
If you already have DUN installed skip to the "Installing Network
Components" step to insure you have the proper items available to finish
setting up. To install Dial-Up Networking, use the following steps:
 
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control
   Panel.
 
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
 
3. Select the Windows Setup tab.
 
4. Click Communications and Click Details.
 
5. Make sure the Dial-Up Networking box is selected and click OK.
 
6. Click OK again and follow the instructions.
 
Installing Network Components
-----------------------------
 
1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control
   Panel.
 
2. Double-click Network.
 
3. The following network components must be installed:
 
    - Client for Microsoft Networks
 
    - Dial-Up Adapter
 
    - TCP/IP
 
If any of these are not installed, follow the appropriate steps below:
 
Add the Client for Microsoft Networks
-------------------------------------
 
1. Click Add, and then double-click Client.
 
2. Click Microsoft, and then double-click "Client for Microsoft Networks
   and click OK."
 
Add Dial-Up Adapter
-------------------
 
1. Click Add, and then double-click Adapter.
 
2. click Microsoft, and then double-click Dial-Up Adapter and then click
   OK.
 
To add TCP/IP Protocol
----------------------
 
1. Click Add, and then double-click Protocol.
 
2. Click Microsoft, and then double-click TCP/IP and click OK.
 
   NOTE: Do not configure these components in Control Panel, they are
   configured through Dial-Up Networking profiles.
 
3. If Windows indicates that you need to restart your computer, click Yes.
 
Creating a Dial-Up Networking Profile for SPRYNET
-------------------------------------------------
 
1. Click the Start button, point to Programs, point to Accessories,
   and then click Dial-Up Networking.
 
2. Double-click "Make New Connection."
 
3. Type a name for your new connection (e.g. SPRYNET) and click Next.
 
4. Type your local SPRYNET access number, click Next and click Finish.
 
An icon for your SPRYNET profile appears in the Dial-Up Networking folder.
 
Configuring the Dial-Up Networking profile for SPRYNET
------------------------------------------------------
 
 1. Right-click on the SPRYNET icon and select Properties on the shortcut
    menu.
 
 2. Click on Server Type.
 
 3. Click "PPP: Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5, Internet" from the Type of
     Dial-Up Server list.
 
 4. click to select "Enable Software Compression" in Advanced Options and
    click to clear any other options.
 
 5. Make sure that TCP/IP is selected in "Allowed Network Protocols."
    click to clear any other options.
 
 6. Click TCP/IP Settings.
 
 7. Click to select Server Assigned IP Address.
 
 8. Click to select Specify Name Server Addresses.
 
 9. Enter 149.174.211.5 as the Primary DNS.
 
10. Enter 149.174.213.5 as the Secondary DNS.
 
11. Click to select "Use IP header compression & Use default gateway" on
    remote network.
 
12. Click OK in each open dialog to return to the Dial-Up Networking
    folder.
 
13. Download the SPRYNET login script from the following FTP site and
    save it to \PROGRAM FILES\ACCESSORIES\ on your hard disk:
 
        ftp://support.spry.com/sprynet/sprynet.scp
 
To Install the Dial-Up Scripting Tool
-------------------------------------
 
1. Click the Start button, point to Programs, and point to Accessories.
 
   If Dial-Up Scripting Tool is not listed use the following steps to
   install it:
 
    a. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and click Control
       Panel.
 
    b. Double-click Add/Remove Programs, and click the Windows Setup tab.
 
    c. Click Have Disk and browse to the RNAPLUS.INF file and click OK.
       NOTE: This file is located on the Windows 95 Compact Disc in
       \ADMIN\APPTOOLS\DSCRIPT\ 
 
    d. Follow the setup instructions .
 
    e. Click OK. You may need to restart your computer.
 
2. Click the Dial-Up Scripting Tool.
 
3. Click to select your SPRYNET profile in the Connections section.
 
4. Click Browse and double-click on SPRYNET.SCP.
 
5. Click Apply and click Close.
 
To Connect to SPRYNET
---------------------
 
1. Click the Start button, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and
   Click Dial-Up Networking.
 
2. Double-click your SPRYNET profile.
 
3. Type your Host (SPRY01, SPRY02, USR2, PCWN, or such), and SPRYNET
   account number (SPRY000000, USR2000000, or such) into Username field as
   such SPRY01,SPRY000000 (To find your host name open the Spry dialer,
   click Network Settings, click Login Setup, click Edit [next to Auto],
   then open the line that reads Host Name.
 
4. Type your SPRYNET account password (not your e-mail password)
   into the Password field.
 
5. Click Connect. Your modem will dial SPRYNET.
 
6. Once the connection is established, minimize the connection status.
 
7. Start Money and make your Internet connection.
