SUMMARY
=======

Microsoft Money version 5.0 allows you to download Internet Quotes and
download bank statement information through the Internet. Money also allows
you to access the Money site and other Web sites from Money. This article
explains how to setup and use America Online (AOL) version 3.0 for Windows
95 as your Internet Service Provider (ISP) with Money.

NOTE: This article presumes that you have an account with AOL and no other
ISP installed on your computer that might interfere with the installation
of AOL. If you have difficulty with any of the steps outlined in this
article, contact America Online for assistance.

MORE INFORMATION
================

America Online version 3.0 for Windows is not a Windows 95 compatible
Internet Service Provider. You must upgrade to America Online version 3.0
for Windows 95. This version uses the 32 bit Winsock files required by
Money version 5.0.

To obtain the upgrade to the Windows 95 version of America Online, log on
to AOL and access the keyword (CTRL+K): UPGRADE.

Setting Up AOL
--------------

When you upgrade, AOL writes a file called Setup95.exe in the AOL\Download
folder. Run this file to setup America Online for Windows 95. This installs
the new version of AOL and installs Internet Explorer (IE) version 3.0. It
creates an icon named "The Internet" on your Windows 95 desktop.

Setting Up AOL as Your ISP
--------------------------

To use AOL as your ISP, follow these steps to set up Internet Explorer
correctly:

1. Right-click on The Internet and then click Properties on the resulting
   shortcut menu.

2. On the Connection tab, make sure that the "Connect To The Internet As
   Needed" check box is clear.

3. Make sure that the "Connect Through A Proxy Server" check box is
   checked, then click Setting.

4. Under Servers, in the HTTP: text box type the following:

     ie3.proxy.aol.com

5. Click OK in both boxes.

6. Log on to AOL before trying to make a connection to the Internet.

Using AOL as Your ISP in Money
------------------------------

You can use AOL as your ISP to download Internet Quotes, Contact
Information regarding your bank, and connect to an Open Financial
Connectivity (OFC) financial institution. You can also connect to Internet
sites such as Money site or sites provided by your financial institution
or Online Bill Payment service provider.

NOTE: To use AOL as your ISP, make sure that America Online is running
and that you are logged on. Money cannot launch AOL.

When going through the Online Services Setup Wizard to set up for Online
Banking with a financial institution that uses an Internet connection, you
see a dialog box that asks how you connect to the Internet. Select the "Use
My Proxy To Connect To The Internet" option.

similar to the following:

   http://www.microsoft.com/money/.
The site was not found. Make sure the address is correct and try again.

NOTE: The http address displayed varies depending upon the site you
are attempting to connect to in Money.

If AOL is not already running, you receive the following error message
when you try to connect to Internet Quotes:

following and try your call again.

   - Check your modem connections and the modem settings in the Windows
     Control Panel...

   - Check that your Internet software is installed and that you are able
     to successfully access the Internet....

You receive the following error message when you try to connect to your
financial institution when you have not logged on to AOL:

Money could not complete the call because Online Services could
   not be found.

If you canceled a dialer for your Internet service provider, exit
Money, restart, and try again. If not, run Online Services Setup again.

NOTE: It is not necessary to restart Money or to run Online Services
