This article describes the two setup options in an Administrative Setup of
Works.
 
MORE INFORMATION
================
 
The Administrative Setup mode is for network administrators to
install Works on a network. The administrator may either choose either:
 
 - Allow users to install Works from the server
 - Allow users to run Works from the server
 
To perform an Administrative Setup do the following:
----------------------------------------------------
 
 1. Insert Disk 1 into the computer.
 
 2. Hold down the Command key and double-click the Setup icon. You will see
    the two options listed above.
 
 3. Choose the option desired and click OK.
 
Allow Users to Install Works From the Server
--------------------------------------------
 
This option will create six folders on the server. Each folder will
contain the items corresponding to each of the six setup diskettes. To
install Works from the server do the following:
 
 1. On the workstation connect to the server.
 
 2. Locate and open the folder labeled Install Disk 1.
 
 3. Double-click Microsoft Works Setup.
 
Depending on the type of installation you choose, Works will install files
on to the workstation's hard drive. To see what files will be installed,

Allow Users to Run Works From the Server
----------------------------------------
 
This option allows users to run Works from the server and places a limited
number of files on to the workstation. To run Works from the server, do the
following:
 
 1. On the workstation, connect to the server.
 
 2. Locate and double-click on Works Setup.
 
The following items will be installed on to the workstation:
 
   Microsoft Works 4.0 folder
      Microsoft Works 4.0 (alias)
      Address Book
 
   Microsoft folder
      Microsoft Setup
      MSInfo
 
   The following items will be installed into the Extensions folder
   located in the System folder on the workstation:
 
   OLE Manager
   OLE Extension
   Apple Modem Tool
   AppleTalk ADSP Tool
   MS Kermit
   Serial Tool
   MS Text Tool
   TTY Tool
   VT102 Tool
   VT320 Tool
   MS X/Ymodem Tool
   MS Zmodem Tool
   TTYFont
   VT102Font
   VT320Font
   Works Reminders
