 - Open Financial Connectivity 1.0

This information is intended for use by banks and solution providers who
are evaluating or implementing a home banking server solution using OFC and
Microsoft Money. For a fuller description of Open Financial Connectivity
(OFC)please see the OFC specification. The specification is available for
download on the Microsoft Web site by searching on the keyword OFC.

SUMMARY
=======

The specification indicates a timeout interval of 2 minutes for receiving
the OFC response file. The OFC server implementation should not attempt to
track the timeout interval. The server should be designed to complete the
processing of all requests independent of the timeout interval. If the
timeout limit is reached, Money will enter "Crash Recovery". In this case
Money will re-send the prior request file containing the exact request
records. At that time the server can respond with the response
file containing the completed response records. Refer to the OFC
specification for more info on Crash Recovery.
