SYMPTOMS
========

When you print checks, a different font may be used rather than the default
font, Courier New.

CAUSE
=====

The problem can occur when you use the Windows Printing System as your
default printer driver. The Windows Printing System is a cartridge that is
specifically designed to work with Hewlett Packard (HP) LaserJet printers.

This can also occur if your system is missing the Courier New font. For
additional information, please see the following article in the Microsoft
Knowledge Base:

RESOLUTION
==========

If you are using the Windows Printing System, you must install one of the
Hewlett Packard LaserJet drivers that come with Windows 95. Do not select
this as your default printer unless you do not want to use the Windows
Printing System in other applications.

Open Money and change the printer for printing checks to the HP LaserJet
driver installed. The exact steps depend on the version of Money you have.

Use the appropriate method below for your version of Money.

Money Versions 4.0, 4.0a, 5.0, and 98

1. On the File menu, click Print Setup.

2. Click Check Setup.

3. Choose the HP LaserJet driver you just installed from the list of
   available printers.

Money Versions 1.0, 2.0, 3.0
----------------------------

1. On the File menu, click Print Setup.

2. Click Check Printing.

3. Click Specific Printer.

4. Choose the HP LaserJet driver you just installed from the drop-down
   list.
