SUMMARY
=======

This article describes how to paint with more than 32 colours and four inks
by using separate, identical levels on the same peg bar in Softimage Toonz.

MORE INFORMATION
================

Bypass the limitation of 32 colours and four inks on a given level in
the Inknpaint module of Softimage Toonz by keeping separate, identical
levels attached to the same peg bar.

Here is an example:

In a case in which you are working with two characters, Character A and
Character B, on the same level, Level L, where each character requires
the use of 32 paints, proceed as follows:

1. Copy Level L into another name, Level LL, using the cpl utility
  (cpl L   LL).

2. Paint Character A in Level L using the first palette. Leave Character B
   unpainted.

3. Paint Character B in Level LL using the second palette. Leave Character
   A unpainted.

4. In Xsheet, set one of the two columns to NOINK but keep both level
   attached to the same peg bar, with the same offsets, etc. This prevents
   the possibility of thickened lines due to superimposed inks.
