SYMPTOMS
========
 
When you use any of the Paint tools to create an image, the image may cover
other existing images when you print the document.
 
CAUSE
=====
 
Using Apple LaserWriter printer driver version 8.3.3 or 8.4 will cause this
problem. Earlier versions of the printer driver do not exhibit this
problem.
 
STATUS
======
 
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Works version
4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here
in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
 
MORE INFORMATION
================
 
When you create an object with the Paint tools, a box that encompasses the
image is created. This box appears white when you print the document and
may cover other images near the object.
 
The Paint tools include the Paintbrush, Spray Can, Pencil, Eraser, Paint
Bucket, and Paint Selection tools.
