2. Run Winbig.

3. Open the original Homeworld 'update.big' file.

4. Extract all files of the 'update.big' into the 'datasrc' folder.

5. Copy all files from your mod into the 'datasrc' folder, replacing any files as necessary.

6. Start a New 'big' file, placing it in the 'data' folder. Name it something that will remind you what it contains. The 'Add from' folder should be the 'datasrc' folder.

7. Compiling is a two-pass process. One to find all files, and the second to write out the 'big' file. The second pass will take the longest amount of time, depending on the processing power of your PC.

8. Exit Winbig.

9. Rename the original Homeworld 'update.big' file to 'update.big.old'.

10. Copy your new 'big' file to the Homeworld folder and rename it 'update.big'.
