Here are some packages from the Free Software Foundation. Most of them are right out-of-the-box ("configure; make"). The gcc-2.7.2 package was used to compile all the stuff. If you want source code or the packaging control files for any of these, please contact Christian.Kaiser@mch.sni.de. A special note about gcc-2.7.2 ------------------------------ This package contains a working compiler for SINIX! We even did a pretty big software project using this package. It should work fine at least on 5.42B, 5.42C and 5.43B (these are the releases we tested it on...). In order to be able to install it, you must install a C-DS package (prefer- rably 1.1A00) first, because all the header files and most of the libraries will be in there. When installing the gcc package, it "fixes" the system include files for use by gcc. There are no pre-fixed include files in the package, which means that you are not dependent on a particular OS re- lease.
