V1.22 Some minor bugfixes in the Ethernet stuff reporting code plus some
changes to the way how the results are presented

The processor bugs detection code has been modified to hopefully cure
        problems with a few machines

V1.21 The info about the processor configuration, which disappeared with
        V1.18, is reported again

Some more Ethernet relatied information is reported

The !Run file has been changed to claim a WimpSlot of only 200 Kbyte
instead of the 512 Kbyte of previous versions (should help with machines
which don't have that much of free memory)

V1.20 New expansion card codes added:
        - Computer Concepts Scan-Junior Mk III

The software features of a SCSI host adapter were reported incorrectly
with V1.19, because there was some test code which hadn't been removed
        again

Some additional code has been added to get better guesses from !SICK
whether the IOC timers are running at the incorrect speed (i.e. not at
2 MHz) or the real time clock is running too inaccurate

A new system for remarks about the computer has been implemented which
will allow !SICK to make more, and more accurate comments in the future

!SICK is now able to find the IP address of the machine if it is using
the host name as "IP address"

The low level FPA detection code has been deactivated again as it still
        didn't work

V1.19 New expansion card codes added:
        - Simtec NET100 Ethernet Interface
        - Computer Concepts Scan Junior
        - I-Cubed EtherLan 100
        - I-Cubed EtherLan 700
        - Acorn E100 (AEH77)
        - Acorn E200 (AEH79)
        - Acorn E600 (AEH64, AEH78 or AEH99)
        - Acorn E700 (AEH98)

A bug which crashed some machines while detecting the processor(s) has
        been fixed

Several other minor bugs have been fixed

The code which detects the number of SCSI cards has been changed to
(hopefully) take better care of cards which don't handle multiple SCSI
        cards correctly

The code which detects ARM bugs has been cleaned up once again

The "low-level FPA detection" has been modified again, as it still
        didn't work

The order in which the information is outputted in the result file has
        been changed

Information about Econet network is reported

V1.18 A bug in the detection of expansion cards which use "simple Expansion
        Card Identity" has been fixed

Another time the "low-level FPA detection" (introduced in V1.16) has
been fixed and (fingers crossed) should work now

The "low-level FPA detection" no longer reports the wrong information
if it does find a FPA

Some more information (mapped out defects and partitions) is reported
        about FileCore discs

The processor identifying code has partially been rewritten, based on
the details given in the ARM Architecture Reference Manual

A nasty bug which could crash !SICK, while reporting information about
the SCSI host adapter, has been fixed

V1.17 A bug in the code, which detects a FPA10/FPA11 when a wrong FPEmulator
        is used, has been fixed

A bug which resulted in a random number of expansion card slots being
reported with RISC OS 2 has been fixed

Some minor problems with RISC OS 2 have been fixed

A bug with the detection of old I/O chips (1772, ST506) has been fixed

The problem with the timing routines (used for the very accurate timing
        of !SICK) has been fixed

The processor clock detection code has been finetuned and a tiny bug
        has been fixed

V1.16 !SICK is now able to detect a FPA10/FPA11 even if the wrong FPEmulator
version is running (i.e. a version which doesn't make use of the FPA)

V1.15 The code to guess the computer model has been updated to hopefully do
        a more reliable job

The DIP switch setting of a StrongARM processor card is no longer
reported if a Kinetic is present (as this doesn't have DIP switches)

Processor bugs detection code has been improved and should now report
the Mode Change bug and the LDM/STM bug correctly, furthermore the MSR
bug is only reported with processors which do support the MSR
        instruction

The !Help file has been updated to correctly state that the RRX bug was
a bug of the ARM1 (and not of an ARM2 prototype - which in fact did
        never exist)

Several of the memory benchmarks are removed again, leaving only the
        benchmarks for maximum transfer rates

A cache transfer benchmark has been introduced

A very nasty bug which affected MEMC (MEMC1 and MEMC1a) equipped
        systems, has been fixed

The timing code has been optimised (and slightly corrected) which
should give slightly more accurate results (in reality, the inaccuracy
was so tiny that noone will notice the difference)

Additional info for the Acorn A4 (mainly battery related stuff) is
        reported

V1.14 Further cosmetic changes in the output file

Dhrystone and Whetstone benchmarks do perform more loops to get a more
        accurate result

Instead of "counting" from a to z !SICK now outputs what it is
currently about to do (should help with bug reports)

V1.13 A licence has been added to the files which make up !SICK, this should
make clear what users are allowed to do with !SICK - and more important
(to me) what they aren't allowed to do

Minor cosmetic changes in the output file

Some more details about ADFS drives are reported

!SICK no longer crashes when no FP emulator is active (and by this no
        FP instructions are available)

V1.12 (not released)

New version of the Whetstone benchmark code, based on the latest source
I could find (6 November 1996) and compiled with the latest(?) version
of the Acorn C compiler (Norcroft RISC OS ARM C vsn 5.09). Resulting in
about 15% lower figures than those produced with older versions of
        !SICK.

Floating point benchmark results are now also given in MWIPS (millions
of whetstone instructions per second), which makes it easier to compare
results with those of other plattforms. Additionally there is a
        MWIPS/MHz figure given.

Minor changes to the Dhrystone measuring code, resulting in a slightly
(around 1%) better Dhrystone figure than with previous versions of
        !SICK.

V1.11 (not released)

Added detection of the VirtualA5000 emulator

Added some code to bypass a bug in VirtualA5000 (without that, !SICK
        crashed VirtualA5000)

Altered the code to measure the speed of the timers, it is not only
much more reliable now but also does work with VirtualA5000

The code to measure the processor clock has been rewritten to make it
        more reliable.

V1.10 (not released)

       New expansion card codes added:
        - Beebug High Density Adapter
        - Beebug Scavenger
        - Oak SCSI Interface

Added a few bits for the 300 MHz Kinetic

V1.09 Further changes to the ARM bugs detection code, now also detects
LDM/STM bug reliably and does no longer crash on old machines

A tiny bug which crashed the program on machines with no ID chip has
        been cured

V1.08 New expansion card code added:
        - XOB Tele-Card

Complete rewrite of the code which is to detect the Istream Abort bug
as the old code never really did work

V1.07 Added detection of MSR processor bug

Now uses the visible screen memory to do screen memory benchmarks (to
get more meaningfull results with add-on videocards), this means that
you may notice strange effects on the screen, and it may also mean that
the screen mode is changed by !SICK (but this only happens if you are
in a mode which uses less than 300 Kbyte)

A new memory benchmark is added which reads a word (4 bytes), inverts
it and writes it back again. This is added because that's close to what
is done by most memory intensive applications (e.g. picture editing
        software)

Benchmark results are no longer compared with those of other machines

V1.06 New expansion card codes added:
        - Acorn modem card
        - RISC Developments' Risc PC Access Ethernet

       Some minor bug fixes done

V1.05 New expansion card codes added:
        - ScanLight Video256
        - 486 PC card

Re-organised some parts of !SICK to (hopefully) prevent several
problems with harddiscs and other devices

Renamed 'IDE Devices' to 'ADFS Devices' to make it clearer what this
        section of !SICK is about

Some minor changes done to the output of !SICK (e.g. changed 'KByte' to
        'Kbyte')

The screen refresh rate no longer has to be exactly 60.0 Hz to let
!SICK do a comparision with other RISC OS computers (A3000 and Kinetic
Risc PC) as some models (e.g. A3xx/A4xx) aren't even able to generate
        this

!SICK now reports information about CDFS devices, too

!SICK now (correctly) reports an ARM3 to be an ARMv2a architecture

V1.04 Altered the code to detect long multiplication support after receiving
a result file which reported an ARMv2M architecture (which shouldn't
exist according to the ARM Architecture Reference Manual)

V1.03 !SICK no longer displays performance results if it wasn't able to
produce them (e.g. because there was not enough memory)

Information about the processor architecture added

Some minor additions to the processor information added (taken from the
ARM Architecture Reference Manual issue D)

Did some changes in the !Help file to reflect the changes made to !SICK

Added the performance figure "Dhrystone 2.1 MIPS/MHz"

Removed a bug introduced in V1.02 which prevented !SICK from running on
        machines with a MEMC

V1.02 Again several expansion card codes added:
        - Nexus network card
        - Colour Card Gold

Corrected the OS version of the description of the A3000 (one of the two
systems, the actual performace is compared with), as this didn't run
RISC OS 3.10 (as reported in V1.01), but RISC OS 3.19 (the German
        version of RISC OS 3.11)

Replaced the comparation with the performance of a RiscPC SA by the
comparation with the performance of a Kinetic RiscPC (as this is the
fastest RISC OS machine currently sold)

Report of the FPEmulator version number added

Code to detect unique machine ID chip (on some machines) added

Information about current screen mode added

!SICK no longer enters screen mode 28 when run to prevent problems (and
to enable speed comparisions with different screen modes)

System performance now is only compared with other RISC OS computers if
the correct screen mode is selected (i.e. 640x480, 256 colours, 60 Hz)

       Plus several minor changes

Did some changes in the !Help file to reflect the changes made to !SICK

V1.01 Several expansion card codes added:
        - Computer Concepts Scanner podule
        - ViewFinder
        - Eagle M2

Replaced the comparation with the performace of an A4 by the comparation
with the performance of an A3000 (ARM2 at 8 MHz).

Removed a bug which crashed !SICK on pre A5000 machines.

V1.00 First public release (well, there were previous releases spread, but
V1.00 was the first announced in comp.sys.acorn.announce)
