<HTML><h1>Structure of Microhelp pages</h1>

Microhelp pages are best placed in a directory called Microhelp which is
in the same directory as the application !Microhelp. The directory should
contain:

	A text file called 'Contents'
	A text file called 'Index'

It may also contain:

Other text files with <a href="hyperlinks">hyperlinks</a>
	Plain text files
Non-text files or applications which are run in response to
	hyperlinks.

The contents page will be opened when you run Microhelp, and you can put
links in your contents page to the other files. You can look at the
<a href="contents">Contents</a> and <a href="index">Index</a> of these help pages for an example.

<a name="why">A text file with hyperlinks is recognised by the string &lt;HTML> in its
top line</a>. You may include tabs, but all occurences of the characters '&amp;'
and '&lt;' should be replaced by their respective <a href="entities">entities.</a> Text should be
formatted to 77 columns wide. Unlike <a href="html#www">WWW</a> browsers, Microhelp will not format
text as it displays it.
