Problems

There are a few mistakes that you can make. Here are the common symptoms:

Hypertext commands appearing in Microhelps window

If your commands are visible this could be because theres no

instruction. Microhelp requires the string '
' within the first
256 bytes of the file to recognise text as HTML. If the 'Export as HTML'
menu item is shaded out then this is your problem.

Microhelp gives the error 'String too long'

Microhelp can cope with filename string up to 255 bytes long, and anchor
names up to 31 bytes long. If you get this error youve probably missed the
trailing " from a link or anchor name.

Some text is not displayed

Theres probably an entity without a terminator (sounds like a good name for
a movie). Or, in English, theres a '&' without a corresponding ";". This
may also be due to a '<' without a '>'.

The last line of text is not visible

Add a return to the end of your text.

Most of my text is blue

You're missing a '' to close a hyperlink.

A hypertext link command is ignored

Is the syntax correct? Its easy to miss off the <a and just write <href.

My new !Help in my application doesnt make the filer menus Help entry
unshaded

The filer may take a while to spot a new !Help file. Try a restart.
