Hyperlinks

A hyperlink is a highlighted piece or text which, when you click on it, does
something. In Microhelp hyperlinks are highlighted in blue.

Microhelp uses the same hyperlink format as HTML. A commmand is embedded in
the text. There are four types:

A marker, telling Microhelp about a special position in the text.

...

A link to a position in the same file

...

 A link to another file

...

A link to a specified position in another file

...

No commands are case sensitive in Microhelp, and extra or missing spaces will
usually be ignored.

Examples

To place a link to a position later in the text you could write

link to a later part of the text

.

and the later bit of text would be marked by

 This is the

later part of the text

.

The first command would appear like this - try it out.

Click here to link to a later part of the text.

Notice how the
<a href...
bit begins the hyperlink and the

bit closes
it. The text in between will be highlighed in blue when displayed.

The following link is made with the command

Click here to jump to some

linking examples

.

Click here to jump to some linking examples.

This is the later part of the text.

After youve written a few pages you might like to look at how Microhelp
builds a pathname for the linked file. You can link to almost anywhere.
