                Format of StellaList

Each polyhedron is defined using 3 or more lines.
The items on any line are separated by commas.

              line 1
identifier Wn where n=0 if solid is not in Wenninger book 'Polyhedron Models'
name
name of the dual (optional)

              line 2
no of components
for each component there are 3 numbers:
type no, for this face (see list of face types below)
component type no (see list below) (negative if hemi)
square of the radius (may be omitted if the same as the value for the
previous component - just put its comma)
scale (usually 1)
number of instructions following(on the next line(s) )

line 3+ (normally no more than 80 characters on a line)
The instructions are in a 'list' format usually giving the lines to be
selected from the stellation diagram:

no of faces in first component (-ve if reflected dual faces)
number of stellation lines needed for the first face (-ve for back face)
line numbers (the first line is repeated at the end)
(-ve numbers are used to define a split face, see below)
number of lines for the second face
  line numbers
etc. for all faces in the first component
no of faces in second component etc.
no of faces in the dual component etc. (optional)
If there is a second dual component (i.e. for hemi models) there is a final
integer giving the factor by which these planes are magnified.

An alternative form for faces defined by points rather than lines is
signalled by the 'number of instructions' being the negative of the true
number. Then, instead of a 'number of stellation lines' there is a 'number
of coordinate (x,y) pairs' which are written in decimal format.
Stellation 8 of the Icosidodecahedron can not be defined with lines and is
in this format.

     Split faces.

These are defined by two negative line numbers in the face definition.
The split goes between the vertices at the ends of the negatively numbered
lines. If a split does not end at a vertex but in the middle of an edge then
its position along that edge is given a fraction of the length of this edge.
The fraction is multiplied by 32768 and stored in the upper 16 bits of the
line number before it is negated.
