                             RTF Reader v2.0 30/6/97
                             =======================

Overview
========

RTF Reader is a program to extract the document text from an RTF Version 1.4 text.
The extracted text is placed into a standard Acorn text file.

Using RTFReader
===============

To launch RTFReader, just double-click on the !RTFReader icon which will then
appear on the right hand side of the icon bar.

To extract the text from an RTF file, simply drag the file onto the icon bar
!RTFReader icon. The program executes automatically and displays a file save dialog
for dragging into a directory window. The new file contains the extracted text. A
report window is opened when the program executes which is used to show any information
or error messages.

Menus
======

   Icon Bar Menu
   =============

        Info -> displays the standard information dialog
        Report -> displays the run report window
        Options ->
                By sections -> When ticked, the output text is separated on the basis of one
                                originating RTF section per output file. The first section file
                                is 'sect0'. The save dialog will display a directory for
                                dragging to the Filer.
                                When not ticked, all of the RTF document is output to a single
                                text file. The save dialog will display a file for dragging to

        Quit -> quits the RTFReader application
