The following important information is additional to that contained in the manual.

Page Setup
----------

Supported header/footer codes:

        &l Left justify
        &c Centre justify
        &r Right justify
        &f Filename
        &d Date in d/m/yy format
        &D Date in d-mmm-yy format
        &t Time
        &p Page number
        &n Total number of pages
&y Vertical offset from top or bottom of page in inches

The &y code allows one to set the header and footer margins, which default to 0.5 inches. This is to guard against rounding errors with printers like the HP Deskjet, whose absolute bottom margin appears to be 0.5 inches. When printing a footer with the default 0.5" margin at 150 DPI, the bottom-most pixel of a "y" descender is printed on a second page, rather than being clipped! This is either a Deskjet or Acorn printer driver bug, not a Eureka problem.

Using &y0.52 in the footer lets you get round this problem.

Headers/footer are centred between the Page Setup left and right margins; however, the top and bottom margins are ignored.

The settings in the Print dialog are now also saved in files, and the all pages/page range options also work. Before the Print dialog appears, Eureka paginates the worksheet, so it knows the total number of pages it will have to print. The Page Setup page size is currently ignored. For now, users can regard it as a suggested page size, perhaps useful when they distribute Eureka files.

Chart creation
--------------

Now, when you shift-click the chart button or New chart menu item, a dialog appears allowing you to change Eureka's default series ordering. This dialog also appears when the selection is ambiguous. Please note that rotated text is for axis labelling is not supported for RISC OS 2 users. If you require this facility, you should upgrade to RISC OS 3.1

Linking
-------

When you load a supporting worksheet, Eureka now calculates all external formulas dependent on that worksheet (basically, dependent external formulas are considered volatile).

When you load a dependent worksheet, Eureka calculates all external reference formulas in that document.

Templates
---------

The Eureka menu Templates item displays the names of as many as 64 native Eureka files located in the <Eureka$Dir>.Templates directory, sorted by file type and then alphabetically. A template file is really no different than a regular file, although the Save As boxes do support Template file types, so that one can save a file even if only its leaf name is showing. Alternatively, you can just drag the file to the <Eureka$Dir>.Templates directory.

Really, the only difference between ordinary files and templates is that when creating a new document via the Templates dialog, files are named "Sheet2", "Sheet3", etc. just like new, blank documents. Use them for creating new blank documents with custom predefined styles, formatting information and number formats etc. If you instead want to edit a Template file, you should open the Templates directory and drag the file normally, or hold down Shift when you double-click a template name in the Templates dialog box.

Icon bar
--------

Right-click invokes the Open template dialog.

Shift-click restores the control panel if it's hidden. If it's showing, moves the active child window to the front and then the control panel to the front.

Goto
----

Now works with formulas returning multiple selections. For example, make a multiple selection, and then choose Set Print Area. Open the Goto dialog, and since the Print_Area name isn't a simple selection, you'll need to click "Show all names" to display it. Then, double-click Print_Area; the original multiple selection should become selected, and the active cell will be positioned in the first cell of the first selection you made.

Also, you can press Shift while exiting Goto to extend the selection, and you can press Control while exiting to add a selection to the current selection (i.e. create a multiple selection).

Worksheet protection
--------------------

Implemented. Also updated Lotus import/export code to reflect this. Protection is very very strict as to what worksheet functions are available on a protected document. Basically, all you can do is enter new data into unprotected cells, copy data out of the worksheet, and save and print the worksheet.

Paste name list
---------------

This allows you to paste a list of all defined names and associated formulas onto an area of your worksheet. It can be useful in documenting models. If you see a blank cell to the right of a name (i.e. it has no associated formula), then the name is used in the worksheet but hasn't been defined. These "tentative names" don't appear in the define name or goto dialogs.

Set print area
--------------

This is new, and found on the Worksheet options menu. This creates a name "Print_Area". This is usually a simple selection, although you can designate a multiple-selection, or even enter an arbitrary formula. If defined, it will designate the only printable area(s) of a worksheet.

Program startup and termination
-------------------------------

Eureka$OpenBlankWorksheetOnBoot:

This environment variable controls whether Eureka opens a blank worksheet and the control panel when it boots up. Set it equal to 1 if you want this to happen, or set it to zero or leave it unset to just get the icon on the icon bar. Note that as before, opening of a blank sheet will only occur provided the command line was empty (i.e. you didn't double-click a Eureka document to
start the program).

Environment variables
---------------------

Here's the current list, with examples of usage:

Set Eureka$WinResourceDir               scsi::4.$.src.sprites
Set Eureka$MinimizeBox 1
Set Eureka$Randomize 1
Set Eureka$OpenBlankWorksheetOnBoot 1

Set Eureka$WinLibSystemFont : +font=Homerton.Medium +size=12
Set Eureka$WinLibDialogFont : +font=Homerton.Bold +size=10

ARM3 users with VGA displays can remove the comments before these two lines in the !Run file to use outline fonts in dialogues.

Set Eureka$WorksheetFont : +font=Homerton.Medium +size=10

RISC OS 3 users with VGA displays should remove the comment in the Eureka !Run file before this line, to overide the choice of system font for the normal style.

Set Eureka$LotusFont : +font=Corpus.Medium +size=10
Set Eureka$ChartFont : +font=Homerton.Medium +size=10

These variables control the default fonts for Lotus files and New Charts. The default values are defined in the !Run file as above. If undefined, Eureka will default to using system font.

Reference cycling
-----------------

This command takes a reference in the formula bar through a relative/absolute cycle. The accelerator key is F4.
