This page describes loading the HDSware software from the
CD-ROM with the tar command.
Loading HDSware with the tar
Command
If you want to load the entire HDSware contents onto
your host, you can extract the HDSware directly by using the "tar"
command. Move to the destination directory for HDSware and then extract
the .TAR file from the CD-ROM.
As mentioned previously, this
filename may be upper or lower or mixed case. Check your host to see
what is needed.
Sun uses:
tar xvf /cdrom/hdsware.tar
