This page lists the configuration syntax file, which
gives all the configuration resources and their permitted values.
Configuration File Syntax
There is a sample configuration file ./hds-fx/config/config.syntax.fx
in the HDSware distribution. This sample file gives the resource syntax
and permitted values for all the configuration options.
Note: if there is no value entered for a resource, or the
value entered is prohibited (out of range or wrong type), the default
value will be used.
Note: there must be no white space
after the resource entry.
This file shows the syntax for the
ViewStation's configuration files. An example of an actual configuration
file is given in config.syntax.fx.
Note that [ YES | NO ] denotes a choice which must be specified as
either YES or NO if this resource name is given.
Do NOT write the
enclosing square_brackets [ and ] or the vertical_bar |.
The entry
DOMAIN_NAME must be either a numeric IP_ADDRESS nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn or an
alphanumeric NAME which can be resolved by a domain name server.
