This page describes the ViewStation's mouse and pointing
devices.
The ViewStation supports a number of pointing devices:
Three-button opto-mechanical PS/2 style mouse which uses a six-pin
mini DIN connector. This is the standard mouse.
A serial
mouse and other serial devices can be used on the ViewStation. Serial
devices are automatically sensed on the serial ports and the appropriate
drivers used.
Trackballs in a number of configurations.
A Light pen, FTG Data Systems, IBM F10 and MAC F11 Model
PXL-780
Other devices, such as bar code readers, digitizing tablets,
etc. can be used with the serial ports and the HDSware software
"opendev" and "usepty" commands. This page has more information on Other Input Devices for the ViewStation.
