NETWORK TROUBLE SHOOTING

Getting a log of the winsock activity can be helpful. To do this use these commands (for instance) to set the environment variable to enable logging to the files /tmp/wsock.log and /tmp/em.logfile:
  export WSOCK_LOG=ffffffff:/tmp/wsock.log
  export EM_LOG=/tmp/em.logfile
  export MRGWIN_LOG=300
Warning, it is possible for log files to grow very large, so make sure the log files are on a filesystem that has enough space and preferably on a filesystem that if all the space is used up, will not cause serious problems with the rest of the system.

Also note that running with logging enabled can significantly degrade the performance of your Windows sessions, so normally you should not enable logging during normal use.
