Constructor Detail

DUIDPattern

public DUIDPattern(String pattern)
Use this constructor to create a new DUIDPattern.

This method will throw an APIArgumentException if the specified pattern is invalid or is specified as null. A valid pattern is a non-null hex string that begins with number prefix, include 0 or more bytes to match against. If using a wildcard, a single asterisk (*) must be at the end of the string.
Minimum number of octets specify in a pattern must be two octets and maximum number of octets specify in a pattern is 130 octets.
Partial octet end of the string is not allowed.

Parameters:
pattern - a String to which DUIDs are matched. This value cannot be specified as null. If specified as null or an invalid DUID pattern, the runtime exception APIArgumentException will be thrown.
Throws:
APIArgumentException - if pattern is null or invalid.
