                                   AmigaMail
Introduction
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The AmigaMail program is a very simple and light-weight e-mail client based on
the  'aml.library'.   This means it supports retrieiving POP3 e-mail and sending
e-mail  with  the SMTP protocols.  It also contains an address-book to store the
e-mail  addresses  of  your  friends.  The program was designed to be simple and
intuitive, requiering very little knowledge to set up and use.
The User Interface
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The main interface is a single window consisting of an article listing, header
display , toolbar, article text display, mime attachment listing, and a folder
listing containing the folders InBox, OutBox, Drafts, Trash and Saved. All new
email is stored in the InBox, sent mail stored in OutBox. Deleted mail from any
folder can be moved in to the Trash folder. Articles may also be saved in the
Saved folder. The drafts folder is not used by AmiMail directly. Other
applications may make use of it, so access to its content (if any) is provided.

To enter a folder, simply single click on it. Once the folder is loaded you may
double-click on the article list to load and display the article text and part
list. The first part is displayed by default. Double clicking on part in the
part attachment list will display the part. You may scroll through the article
display using the arrow keys. Note, any non-ascii data will be displayed using
Multiview.

The program toolbar contains icons for many popular functions. From left to
right the buttons are; Compose Message, Mark Expunge/Delete, Copy To Saved
Folder, Reply To Message, Prior Message, Next Msg, Save To Disk, Get New
Messages, Print, Address Book, and Enable ToolTip Help.
