In order to generate pkgadd floppy, please follow the procedures below:

1. copy the "filename.tar" file from CD-ROM to an IBM formatted floppy.
2. copy the "filename.tar" file from floppy to Solaris system.
3. use command "tar xvf filename.tar" to untar the file "filename".
4. use command "fdformat -v /dev/fd0" to format a floppy to UNIX format.
5. use command "dd if=filename of=/dev/fd0" to generate the packagadd format.
6. use command "pkgadd -d /dev/fd0" to install pnt and pnt.conf files.

NOTE: if you saw the device busy message while executing the command with
      /dev/fd0 parameter. Please do the following steps:
  
      a. use command "ps -ef | grep vold" to get vold pid number.
      b. use command "kill -9 pid#" to terminate the volume manager.
