HP OpenView Web : Help Overview

The HP OpenView Web page can contain the following components:

Title Bar

The title bar is located across the top of the HP OpenView Web page. The title bar contains contextual information to inform you of your location within the HP OpenView Web application. For example, when you go to the MIB Browser context, HP OpenView Web:MIB Browser is displayed in the title bar.

Tool Bar

The tool bar is located under the HP OpenView Web title bar. The HP OpenView Web tool bar contains the following buttons:
Context The context button is located in the left corner of the HP OpenView tool bar.

The context button allows you to switch between the areas of functionality that the HP OpenView Web application provides. Click on the button and scroll to the context that you want to use. The contexts available are:

About OpenView The [About OpenView] button returns you to the HP OpenView About page.
Locate Host/Submaps The [Locate Host/Submaps] button allows you to specify a hostname (or submap) and takes you to that location in the Networks context.
Help The [Help] button provides information about the context that you are using.

Content Area

The content area is below the tool bar. This area can contain a single page of information as seen in the HP OpenView About page, or it can be divided into the following frames.
navigation frame
The navigation frame is a vertical frame on the left side of the content area. Each context has a navigation frame. The navigation frame provides you with links to information associated with a given context. When you click on a link in this frame, the accessed information is presented in the content frame.

content frame
The content frame is located on the right side of the content area. This frame contains information that is provided by clicking on links in the navigation frame.

status frame
The status frame is located below the content area. It contains status or summary information for the context.
