ecsdes [-endecodeConf Endecode Config] [-file file] [-mdlMetadata MDL Metadata file] [-nnm] [-resource value]
ecsdes is the HP OpenView Event Correlation Services (ECS) Designer. The Designer is a program that can be used to design and test event correlation circuits.
ecsdes recognizes the following options:
-endecodeConf Endecode Config
ed.conffile.
-file file
ecsdes starts with a new circuit.
-mdlMetadata MDL Metadata file
-nnm
-resource value
ecsdesunderstands the following application-specific resources:

EditableTextBackground
NonEditableTextBackground

ecsdes also understands the following standard X resources:

On systems using X Windows, resources can be specified as a command line option or in the X Windows resource file. For example to set the paper size to Letter, add this line to the resource file:
ecsdes2*printpaper:Letter
On systems using Windows NT, you can specify application-specific resources as command line options. To do this, modify the Windows shortcut used to start the ECS Designer.
ecsdes returns 0 upon normal completion and >0 if an error occurred.
Environment Variables
DISPLAY
DISPLAY must be defined (or specified on the command line).
LPDEST
-printcmd option. By default, the print destination is taken from the environment variable LPDEST (if it is set). Otherwise, a default destination (if one exists) for the computer system is used.

To start ecsdes with the foreground color set to Blue:

See the ovenvvars(1) reference page for information on universal pathnames for your platform and shell. For Windows NT platforms, substitute the environment variables in Windows NT format. For example, substitute $OV_LOG with %OV_LOG%.
