EV_dumpFormattedValue

DESCRIPTION

This function is used to dump a text representation of an EV_AttrValue structure to a string.

This function is the inverse of EV_parseFormattedValue.

Parameters

const EV_AttrValue *AV

The value structure to be printed (as received by an ANNO_ReceiveFn).

char **buf

The address of a pointer to a character buffer that will contain the text representation of the value structure pointed at by AV. Storage for the buffer is allocated internally (from the heap) and must be freed by calling free(3C).

RETURNS

ECS_SUCCESS

Succeeded.

ECS_BAD_PARAMETER

AV or buf is NULL.

EV_INCORRECT_AV_TYPE

AV contains a non printable EV_AttrValue type.
