!- Contents: X Defaults for WiX Applications
!
!	This file contains X default resources (similar to .Xdefaults)
!	that are only applicable to WiX applications. To use this file,
!	simply copy it into your HOME directory and make changes to it.
!
!	In the X environment, when a WiX application is executed, the
!	default resources are obtained and merged from several sources.
!	The possible sources (in ascending priority) are:
!
!	- resources in a file called WiXdefaults in the user's HOME
! directory.
!
!	- resources in a file called WiXdefaults in a directory defined
! by the environment variable XAPPLRESDIR. The directory specified
! must be an absolute path (start with a '/') and must also
! end with a '/'.
!
!	- resources in a file defined by the environment variable XENVIRONMENT.
! This variable must contain a complete path name, including
! the file name.
!
!	- resources loaded into the corresponding X server. The file
! .Xdefaults in the user's HOME directory contains resources
! that are usually loaded into the server when X is initialized.
! These resources may also be loaded at any time into the server by
! the command "xrdb -load $HOME/.Xdefaults".
!
!	- resources specified on the command line when the application
! is executed.
!
!	In the X environment, an application can be executed on one host
!	with its output being displayed on an X server on a different
!	host. Any resources that are X server dependent should be defined
!	in the .Xdefaults file on the X server's host system. An example
!	of such resource are keyboard accelerator translations which must
!	be redefined because the default translations use keyboard keys
!	that may not available on the X server's associated keyboard.
!
!	In the descriptions below, there are several references to the
!	<Meta> key. This special key can be used:
! - to drop menus from the menu bar,
! - to enter extended characters using the numeric keypad keys
! - as a modifier for accelerators (or hot keys)
!
!	The <Meta> key is also known as the <Menu> key and is usually the
!	key to the immediate left of the space-bar. On Sun workstations
!	the key is labelled with a diamond. On HP workstations, the key is
!	labelled "Extend char", and on other workstations it is the "Alt"
!	key.
!
!	To drop down a menu from the menu bar, simply hold down the
!	<Meta> key and enter the corresponding mnemonic key for the menu
!	item. If a mnemonic key is defined for a menu item, it is underlined.
!
!	To enter extended characters (in text input widgets), hold down the
!	<Meta> key and enter the corresponding decimal ASCII key value
!	using the key-pad numeric keys.
!
!	To use the <Meta> key as an accelerator modifier, see the accelerator
!	description below. When using the <Meta> key as an accelerator
!	modifier, be sure you do not enter a key sequence that conflicts
!	with either the drop-down menu mechanism or the extended character
!	entry mechanism.

! Define the language to be used. The languages supported correspond to
! to the subdirectories of the "config" directory. This resource will be
! be overridden by the LANG environment variable if it is defined.
!
*xnlLanguage: english

! Define the default background and foreground for menus and dialog boxes.
!
*background: grey
*foreground: black

! By default, the font used for menus and dialog boxes is selected at
! runtime to be an ISO-8859 font of an appropriate height. The font chosen
! must also contain the extended characters (characters 128 to 255). You
! can however override the default selection by uncommenting the "*font"
! line and by defining an appropriate font name for your system. Font names
! can be determined by using the "xlsfonts" program.
!
!*font: -*-helvetica-medium-r-normal--14-*

!
! OPEN LOOK Specific Resources
!
! Define the default font colour (should be the same as "*foreground")
! and the input focus colour. The focus colour is used to hightlight
! buttons when they have the input focus. It is also used to show the
! "caret" in text edit boxes. As such, the input focus colour should be
! quite different from the background colour.
!
*fontColor: black
*inputFocusColor:	cyan
!
! By default, clicking with the SELECT mouse button (left) on a menubar
! item usually results in the default item in that menu to be selected.
! Similarly, choosing a menubar item using its mnemonic character
! and the <Meta> key results in the default item in that menu to be
! selected. With some applications, this can result in undesired changes
! to the work in progress. By setting the "selectDoesPreview" resource
! to false, the SELECT mouse button will cause the corresponding menu
! to drop down, as will the <Meta> key and the mnemonic. To obtain the
! default OPEN LOOK feel, comment out the line.
!
*selectDoesPreview:	false

!
! Each WiX application may or may not have associated accelerators or
! "hot keys" for performing common functions. The corresponding accelerator
! for a menu item is given at the right of the item. Each program has a
! built-in set of default accelerators. When the program is started, a
! check is made to determine if the associated X server supports all of
! the accelerators and to ensure that the same key sequence is not used
! for two accelerators. If an accelerator cannot be defined a message
! similar to the following is output:
!
! No key 'KEY'. Define 'APPL.accelerator.LABEL:' in your .Xdefaults
!
! where KEY	is the keyboard key that is not known by the corresponding
! X server,
! APPL	is the application's name (usually the name of executable)
!	LABEL	is the name of the corresponding program operation
!
! If this situations occur, you must redefine the accelerator in the
! corresponding .Xdefaults file that the X server reads when it is
! started (or is loaded by xrdb).
!
! To redefine an accelerator, add an accelerator resource line similar to:
!
!APPL*accelerator*LABEL: Ctrl<key>NEWKEY:
!
! (without the leading "!") into the .Xdefaults file and modify the key
! sequence. The key sequence is composed of three parts:
!
! - a list of modifiers (Ctrl, Shift or Meta)
! - the modifier/ key delimiter (must always be '<key>')
! - the symbolic name for the accelerator key (NEWKEY)
!
! The symbol names for the accelerator keys can be found in the file
! /usr/include/X11/keysymdef.h by simply removing the 'XK_' prefix.
! The symbolic name "PgUp" is equivalent to the name "Prior" and the name
! "PgDn" is equivalent to the name "Next".
!
! When defining the key sequence, one or more modifiers can be specified
! such as: CtrlShift<key>A:
! In the above example, both the control key and the shift key must be
! held down when the "A" key is pressed in order for the accelerator to
! be activated.
!
! If an accelerator is defined more than once, in different files, the
! order in which the files are examined determines the accelerator key
! sequence that is used. See the note in the header about resource files.
! If an accelerator is defined twice in the same file, usually the last
! definition is the one that is valid. Multiple definitions of the same
! accelerator in the same file is not recommended.
!
! If another accelerator uses the same key sequence, a message will be
! printed and a different key sequence should be used.
!
! NOTE:
!	Special care must be taken when using the Meta modifier so that
!	it does not conflict with mechanism for dropping menus using the
!	keyboard or with the mechanism for entering extended characters.
!	(See the notes in the header at the top of the file).
