Descrition of the function elements of the TIFF Spooler
   =======================================================

   Functions in the function panel:

   - Read Hotfolder out periodically
Switch; can be on (selected) or off.
When switched on, all Hotfolders will be searched for new files at
regular, adjustable intervals and any found will be entered in the
     job-list.

   - Print TIFFs in job-list
Switch; can be on (selected) or off.
When switched on, the TIFF Spooler outputs all files of the job-list
     in turn.

   - Show module information
     Copyright and version information

   - Settings
A dialog with the following operating fields appears:

     - Only use resolution set in the Print dialog
Normally the Spooler will select from the resolutions made
available by the printer driver the one suitable for the relevant
TIFF file automatically. With this option it can be forced to work
only with a given resolution, namely that currently set in the
       Print dialog.

     - Automatically delete files xxx minutes/hours/days after successful
       output
When activated, the Spooler will delete automatically the already
output files from the Hotfolders. Before doing this it waits for
the set time interval after the relevant file was output.
Individual files may be protected against this mechanism (there
is a function for this in the header line of the job-list window).

     - xxx further file access attempts in case of problems
     - xxx seconds wait between attempts
With certain problems that can arise when accessing TIFF files,
the Spooler attempts to read in the contents of the TIFF files
several times. Here you can set how often this should be attempted
and how long the interval between attempts should be.
Example: One file is currently being created by another program in
the Hotfolder and the Spooler recognizes that the TIFF data are
       not yet complete.

     - Read out Hotfolder every xxx seconds
Specifies the interval in which the job-list is updated with the
       contents of the Hotfolders.

     - Printout every xxx seconds
Specifies the pause between outputting individual files.

     - In Job window: Colour/Pattern
When active, files in the Job window will be given a coloured
background according to their status (on monochrome screens with
       a grey pattern).

       White: Finished
       Green: Waiting
       Yellow: Running
       Blue: Not yet
       Red : Error

     - Hotfolder list
The Spooler can manage any number of Hotfolders.
       - New: Display file selector for choosing a new Hotfolder
       - Alter (or double-click on list entry): Show file selector
         for altering the Hotfolder
       - Delete: Remove Hotfolder from the list

Checkbox before each Hotfolder: When selected, new files from this
folder will be protected automatically from the auto-deletion
       process.

   - Set/Display log-files
The Spooler is capable to write a log (protocol) in clear-text. In
it you then find information about all files that have been printed
out, errors during printing, as well as automatically deleted files.

     - Write total log to the file
       xxx
Path and filename for the log in which ALL actions will be
       entered.

     - Write log to each Hotfolder under the filename
       xxx
In addition the Spooler manages a log file per Hotfolder, in
which only actions with the files from this folder are recorded.

Both logs can be switched on and off separately. In addition there
     are two functions:

     - Delete: Log file will be deleted (after safety query).
     - Display: The log file will be displayed in an Eddie window.

With the Hotfolder-dependent logs a popup appears in which the
     desired Hotfolder may be selected.

   - Open Job window
Opens the window with the job-list. This consists of:
     - A header line with the functions that also appear in the function
       panel ("Selected file(s) ...")
     - A scrollable list of all files found in the Hotfolders.

For each file its name, path, file information (TIFF resolution,
size...) and a STATUS will be displayed. The latter can take the
     following states:

Waiting The file is OK can can be output
     * Running This file is currently being output
Finished The file has been output
Not yet The file is being held back
ERROR The file is not in order (Error description follows)

     Functions in the header line:
     - Spool selected file(s) again
Resets the status of the selected files from "Finished" back to
"Waiting" (file will be output anew).
     - Reset/free-up selected file(s)
Sets the status of the selected files to "Not yet" or at renewed
application of the function resets this status again.
     - Protect file(s) from auto-deletion
Switches on/off the protection from automatic deletion for the
       selected file(s).
     - Delete selected file(s)
The selected files will be both removed from the job-list as
well as deleted from the hard drive!

   - Open Preview window
Opens the preview window in which an image of the page currently
     being output is displayed.

   - Spool selected file(s) again
   - Reset/free-up selected file(s)
   - Protect file(s) from auto-deletion
   - Delete selected file(s)
See description of the job-list window

   - Load settings
Loads the TIFF Spooler setup. When loading the module the setup
TIFSPOOL.SET will be loaded and evaluated automatically.

   - Save settings
Saves the current settings as a setup file (via the file selector).
